The Golf Classic event raises money for the Darrell Gwynn Medical
Recovery Fund. The fund was started in 1990. The fund is strictly used for all of Darrell’s
attendant care, physical therapy and medication; these services are not covered
by his private medical insurance. This fund allows him to carry on with his day
to day life which is dedicated to improving the lives of other people with spinal
cord injuries / disabilities, especially children. The Golf Classic is held at Grand Palms Golf and County Club in Pembroke Pines Florida, This 18-hole scramble consists of 30 teams of four, maximum limit of 120 golfers.
